Astro Update 8 12 20

Tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 13, at 1:14AM/MDT Mars will exactly square Pluto.

I’m sure we’ve all been feeling it the past several days as it moves closer. This is the God of War squaring off with the Lord of the Underworld. Catalyst and transformation. It is said that we have freedom of choice, and sometimes that looks like… do I like this or not, vanilla or chocolate. Not am I willing to go along with this or not. That’s not the choice. Can I make myself a co-creator with what’s happening now. How can I make choices that include what I would like to see happen as well.

It is pushing fear. So if your stomach gets tight when you think of going back to an office, or your solar plexus cringes when you think of sending your kids back to school, or when you see the new numbers every morning of Covid-related illnesses and you feel consciously afraid, this is part of what Mars is pushing at Pluto.

Let the fear out. We will make choices to the best of our ability. Sometimes we can’t see the consequences and may feel we are driving blind. Other times we think we have control over the situation and then find out we never did. And we don’t. How this time plays out is anyone’s guess here because we are not running the show, the larger one that is using the pandemic to transform society. We have our small corner of the world each day to make choices according to the information and the intuition we have at hand in that moment.

This aspect tomorrow is pushing the envelope. It can bring violence, explosions, inner transformative realizations and decisions. In any event, it is intense and will push against your fears so that you have to let them go. Your emotional body can just hold so much. Find a way to release the energy. Blow it into a stone or give it to the Earth or yell into a pillow…try not to take it out on other people. Just let it go.

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor… Welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.” Rumi
